Installation and Setup

The HomeRemote™ Gateway is an affordable, easy-to-install solution that makes home control a reality for every home. Using Z-Wave wireless technology (an award-wining wireless standard for home automation) the HomeRemote system creates a reliable and secure wireless connection among all Z-Wave devices in your home. Customize your system by adding a combination of the many Z-Wave accessories currently available in stores. Add a Hawking HomeRemote™ camera for video monitoring and recording. Tailor the HomeRemote System to fit your needs and your lifestyle.

System Requirements:

• Broadband Internet Connection
• Home Network Router
• Window based PC with an Available CD or DVD drive
• 4 x AAA Batteries for the Handheld Remote Control
• Any HomeRemote compatible Z-Wave accessories you wish to add to your home.

	Connect the Hardware Plug the HomeRemote Gateway into an available port on your home network router.
	Add your Accessories Purchase Z-Wave devices to customize your system. Add them into your HomeRemote network with the press of a button on the included remote and your device. (Such as a Z-Wave Lamp Module shown to the left).
	Configure your Home Layout Place the Setup CD into your computer and run the Easy Setup Wizard. Follow the step-by-step instructions to configure your home layout and select a personal web address to access your home from the Web. (i.e. www.myhome.homeremote.net).
	Setup your Mobile Phone The Setup Wizard will guide you through the setup of your cellular phone. Simply type in your mobile phone number and a text message will be sent to your phone allowing you to download the Cell Link program. The Cell Link program automatically configures your HomeRemote settings to your phone. No further configuration is necessary. Note: Your purchase of the HomeRemote System entitles you to a limited free trial of the Cell Link service. To continue using Cell Link a subscription is required.
