Port Forwarding - Camera

1. Open Your Web Browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, or Firefox etc…)

2. Type in your Router's IP Address in your browser's web address bar. (i.e. http://182.168.0.8).  If you do not know your Router's IP Address follow these instructions below to find it:

a. Click START (Windows Only)
b. Click RUN
c. Type in: “cmd” in the open field and click OK
d. When the new window appears (black window) type “ipconfig” and press ENTER
e. A list of numbers should appear in the window.  The numbers that appear after Default Gateway will be the IP Address of your Router. 
f. Copy that number and type it in your web browser. (remember to use “http://” in front of the numbers)

Press Enter.
 
 

 

3. A login dialog box should open, as shown below.

Enter the Password you have set for your router in the dialog box. By default, the Password field is left blank. Click OK to open your router's administration page.

 
 

 
4. Your router's administration page should open, as shown below.

Click the Advanced tab located in the horizontal navigation bar to open a new set of links along the left menu bar.
 
 

 
5. In the new set of links, click the Virtual Server link to open the Virtual Server page. You must open the following ports for web, video and audio (You will only need to open an audio port if your Hawking camera supports audio).
 
 

 
STEP 6a: OPEN A WEB PORT
Select the Enable radio button.
In the Name field, type "HRCamWeb" for your Camera. This will assign a name to the device whose web port you are opening.
In the IP Address field, enter your camera's Local IP Address.
(How to Find your Local IP Address)
In the Protocol field, select TCP.
Enter 85 in both of the Port field. If port 85 is unavailable, enter another port number (for example: port 86).
Then enter the same port number in the Public Port field. (It is highly recommended that you enter the same port number in the Public Port field as you entered in the Private Port field.)
In the Schedule drop down menu, select Always.
Click Save to save your changes.

STEP 6b: OPEN A VIDEO PORT
Select the Enable radio button.
In the Name field, type "HRCamVid" for your Camera. This will assign a name to the device whose web port you are opening.
In the IP Address field, enter your camera's Local IP Address.

In the Protocol field, select TCP.
Enter 5000 in both of the Port field. If port 5000 is unavailable, enter another port number (for example: port 5001).
Then enter the same port number in the Public Port field. (It is highly recommended that you enter the same port number in the Public Port field as you entered in the Private Port field.)
In the Schedule drop down menu, select Always.
Click Save to save your changes.

 
 

 
7. Your HomeRemote's port assignments should now appear in the Virtual Servers list below. Click Save Settings at the top of the field.

 
 

 
8. Click Reboot the Device, and you are set. Congratulations!
