Port Forwarding - Camera

Linksys BEFSX41 Version 1
 

1. Open Your Web Browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, or Firefox etc…)

2. Type in your Router's IP Address in your browser's web address bar. (i.e. http://192.168.0.1).  If you do not know your Router's IP Address follow these instructions below to find it:

a. Click START (Windows Only)
b. Click RUN
c. Type in: “cmd” in the open field and click OK
d. When the new window appears (black window) type “ipconfig” and press ENTER
e. A list of numbers should appear in the window.  The numbers that appear after Default Gateway will be the IP Address of your Router. 
f. Copy that number and type it in your web browser. (remember to use “http://” in front of the numbers)

Press Enter.
 
 

 

3. In the login dialog box, enter your Username and Password. By default, the Username should be left blank and the Password is admin.

Click OK to open your router's administration page.

 
 

 

4. Your router's administration page will look similar to the image below.

Click the Advanced button located in the upper-right corner of the Status page to open a new page.

 
 

 

5. A new page will appear. Select the Filters tab.
Locate the Block Wan Request radio buttons, and select the Disable button.
Click Apply to save the changes you made on this page.
Click the Forwarding tab at the top of the page to open the Port Range Forwarding page.

 
 

STEP 6a: OPEN A WEB PORT

The Port Range Forwarding page opens, as shown below.
Locate the Customized Applications column on the left side of the page. In the first empty text field in the Customized Applications column, type "HRCamWeb". This will assign a name to the device whose web port you are opening.

In the Service Port Range column, enter the Starting Port number in the left entry field, and the Ending Port number in the right entry field. It is prefered that you use port numbers 85 ~ 85 for your Web access.  If you are currently using port 85 for another device, please use port 86 ~ 86 or another port protocol.

In the place Protocol field, check TCP.
In the IP Address field, enter your HawkingTech device IP Address.

Click Apply at the bottom of the page to save your changes.

STEP 6b: OPEN A VIDEO PORT
The Port Range Forwarding page opens, as shown below.
Locate the Customized Applications column on the left side of the page. In the first empty text field in the Customized Applications column, type "HRCamVid". This will assign a name to the device whose web port you are opening.

In the Service Port Range column, enter the Starting Port number in the left entry field, and the Ending Port number in the right entry field. It is prefered that you use port numbers 5000 ~ 5000 for your Web access.  If you are currently using port 5000for another device, please use port 5001 ~ 5001 or another port protocol.

In the place Protocol field, check TCP.
In the IP Address field, enter your HawkingTech device IP Address.

Click Apply at the bottom of the page to save your changes.
