Port Forwarding - Gateway

1. Open Your Web Browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, or Firefox etc…)

2. Type in your Router's IP Address in your browser's web address bar. (i.e. http://192.168.0.1).  If you do not know your Router's IP Address follow these instructions below to find it:

a. Click START (Windows Only)
b. Click RUN
c. Type in: “cmd” in the open field and click OK
d. When the new window appears (black window) type “ipconfig” and press ENTER
e. A list of numbers should appear in the window.  The numbers that appear after Default Gateway will be the IP Address of your Router. 
f. Copy that number and type it in your web browser. (remember to use “http://” in front of the numbers)

Press Enter.

3. A login dialog box should open, as shown below.

Enter the Username and Password you have set for your router in the dialog box. By default, the Username is "admin", and the Password field is either password or 1234. Click OK to open your router's administration page.

4. You will then be brought to a Web page which looks something like this. This is your router's administration page.

Under Security in the left menu bar of the administration page, click on the Services link.

5. From the Services menu, click on Add Custom Service.

STEP 5a: OPEN A WEB PORT

In the Name field, type "HRGatewayWeb" for your gateway. This will assign a name to the device whose web port you are opening.
In the Type field, select TCP/ UDP.
in the Start Port field, enter port 80. If port 80 is unavailable, enter another port number (for example: port 81).
Then enter the same port number in the Finish Port field. (It is highly recommended that you enter the same port number in the Port Start field as you entered in the Port End field.)
Click Apply at the bottom of the page to save your changes.

7. Under the Inbound Services section, click Add.

8. In the Service drop down list, find and select the Hawking entry that you just created.
In the Action field, select ALLOW always.

In the Send to LAN Server field, enter the HawkingCam IP address listed on the left side of this page.

In the WAN Users field, set to Any.
In the Log field, set to Never.

Click on Apply.

When you applied the HomeRemote entry, you are all set! Please return to the HomeRemote setup wizard.
