How to Port Forward your Hawking Product

    1. Open Your Web Browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, or Firefox etc…)

    2. Type in your Router's IP Address in your browser's web address bar. (i.e. http://192.168.0.1).  If you do not know your Router's IP Address follow these instructions below to find it:

    a. Click START (Windows Only)
    b. Click RUN
    c. Type in: “cmd” in the open field and click OK
    d. When the new window appears (black window) type “ipconfig” and press ENTER
    e. A list of numbers should appear in the window.  The numbers that appear after Default Gateway will be the IP Address of your Router. 
    f. Copy that number and type it in your web browser. (remember to use “http://” in front of the numbers)

    Press Enter.
     
     

     
    3. The Main Menu will appear in your web browser. Select Setup / Configuration.
     
     

     
    4. Select Advanced Setup in the left menu of the Set Up / Configuration.
     
     

     
    5. The Advanced Setup settings will appear in the content. Click Begin Advanced Setup button.
     
     

     
    6. Cick the Application Level Gateway link under the Advanced Setup menu on the left.
     
     

     
    8. Enable the User radio button and click the New button.
     
     

     
    9. You are now ready to forward ports.
     
     
    STEP 9a: OPEN A WEB PORT
    In the Rule Name field, type "HawkingCam" for your Camera. This will assign a name to the device whose web port you are opening.
    In the Protocol field, select TCP.
    Enter port 80 in the Port Start field. If port 80 is unavailable, enter another port number (for example: port 85).
    Then enter the same port number in the Port Map field. (It is highly recommended that you enter the same port number in the Port Map field as you entered in the Port Start field.)
    Click Apply to save your changes.
     
     
    STEP 9b: OPEN A VIDEO PORT
    In the Rule Name field, type "HawkingVideo" for Video. This will assign a name to the device whose web port you are opening.
    In the Protocol field, select TCP.
    Enter port 5000 in the Port Start field. If port 5000 is unavailable, enter another port number (for example: port 5001).
    Then enter the same port number in the Port Map field. (It is highly recommended that you enter the same port number in the Port Map field as you entered in the Port Start field.)
    Click Apply to save your changes.
     
    STEP 7c (OPTIONAL): OPEN AN AUDIO PORT
    (not necessary for HNC290G)
    In the Rule Name field, type "HawkingAudio" for Audio. This will assign a name to the device whose web port you are opening.
    In the Protocol field, select TCP.
    Enter port 5001 in the Port Start field. If port 5001 is unavailable, enter another port number (for example: port 5002).
    Then enter the same port number in the Port Map field. (It is highly recommended that you enter the same port number in the Port Map field as you entered in the Port Start field.)
    Click Apply to save your changes.
     

     
    9. When you are finished, click the Back button. Under LAN Device, choose a computer to forward ports to desired IP. Select the applications you just created in the Available Rules list, and click the Add button to move the entries to the Applied Rule list.
     
     
    10. After all the desired entries are in the Applied Rule list, click Save and Restart. Congratulations, you are now set. Please return to the HawkingTech setup wizard.
