How to Port Forward your Hawking Product

    1. Open Your Web Browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, or Firefox etc…)

    2. Type in your Router's IP Address in your browser's web address bar. (i.e. http://192.168.0.1).  If you do not know your Router's IP Address follow these instructions below to find it:

    a. Click START (Windows Only)
    b. Click RUN
    c. Type in: “cmd” in the open field and click OK
    d. When the new window appears (black window) type “ipconfig” and press ENTER
    e. A list of numbers should appear in the window.  The numbers that appear after Default Gateway will be the IP Address of your Router. 
    f. Copy that number and type it in your web browser. (remember to use “http://” in front of the numbers)

    Press Enter.
     
     

     
    3. In the left menu, under Firewall, select Virtual Servers.
     
     

     
    4. Proceed by inputting your password. By default, the password is left blank. Click Submit.
     
     

     
    5. You are now ready to input HawkingTech's port assignments.
     
     

    STEP 5a: OPEN A WEB PORT
    Select the Enabled radio button.
    In the Name field, type "HawkingCamera" for your Camera. This will assign a name to the device whose web port you are opening.
    Enter port 80 in both of the Inbound Port field. If port 80 is unavailable, enter another port number (for example: port 85).
    In the Type field, select TCP.
    In the Private IP field, enter your camera's Local IP Address.

    Then enter the same port number in the Private Port field. (It is highly recommended that you enter the same port number in the Inbound Port field as you entered in the Private Port field.)

    STEP 5b: OPEN A VIDEO PORT
    In the Name field, type "HawkingVid" for your Camera. This will assign a name to the device whose web port you are opening.
    Enter port 5000 in both of the Inbound Port field. If port 5000 is unavailable, enter another port number (for example: port 5005).
    In the Type field, select TCP.
    In the Private IP field, enter your camera's Local IP Address.

    Then enter the same port number in the Private Port field. (It is highly recommended that you enter the same port number in the Inbound Port field as you entered in the Private Port field.)

    STEP 5c (OPTIONAL): OPEN AN AUDIO PORT
    (not necessary for HNC290G)

    In the Name field, type "HawkingAudio" for your Camera. This will assign a name to the device whose web port you are opening.
    Enter port 5001 in both of the Inbound Port field. If port 5001 is unavailable, enter another port number (for example: port 5006).
    In the Type field, select TCP.
    In the Private IP field, enter your camera's Local IP Address.

    Then enter the same port number in the Private Port field. (It is highly recommended that you enter the same port number in the Inbound Port field as you entered in the Private Port field.)

     

     
     
    6. Click Apply Changes at the top of the field.
    Congratulations! Your HawkingTech's port assignments should now appear in the Virtual Servers list. Now please return to the HawkingTech Setup Wizard..
