How to Port Forward your Hawking Product

    1. Open a Web browser.

    Type your Router IP Address (preceded by http://) in the addressbar of the browser, as shown below. Note: The Router IP Addressof your router is shown on the left side of this instruction screen.

    2. A login dialog box should open, as shown below.

    Enter your Username and Password in the dialog box.By default, the Username is admin , and the Password field is left blank.Click OK to open your router's administration page.

     
     

     
    3. Your router's administration page should open, as shown below.

    Click the Advanced tab located in the horizontal navigation barto open a new set of links along the left menu bar.
     
     

     
    4. In the new set of links, click the Virtual Server link to open the Virtual Server page,which is shown below. .
     
     

     

    STEP 4a: OPEN A WEB PORT
    Select the Enabled radio button.
    In the Name field, type "HawkingCamera" for your Camera. This will assign a name to the device whose web port you are opening.
    In the Private IP field, enter your camera's Local IP Address.
    (How to Find your Local IP Address)
    In the Protocol Type field, select TCP.
    Enter port 80 in the Private Port field. If port 80 is unavailable, enter another port number (for example: port 85).
    Then enter the same port number in the Public Port field. (It is highly recommended that you enter the same port number in the Public Port field as you entered in the Private Port field.)
    In the Schedule section, select the Always radio button.
    Click Apply at the bottom of the page to save your changes.

    STEP 4b: OPEN A VIDEO PORT
    Select the Enabled radio button.
    In the Name field, type "HawkingVideo" for Video. This will assign a name to the device whose video port you are opening.
    In the Private IP field, enter your camera's Local IP Address.

    In the Protocol Type field, select TCP.
    Enter port 5000 in the Private Port field. If port 5000 is unavailable, enter another port number (for example: port 5001).
    Then enter the same port number in the Public Port field. (It is highly recommended that you enter the same port number in the Public Port field as you entered in the Private Port field.)
    In the Schedule section, select the Always radio button.
    Click Apply at the bottom of the page to save your changes.

    STEP 4c (OPTIONAL): OPEN AN AUDIO PORT
    (not necessary for HNC290G)

    Select the Enabled radio button.
    In the Name field, type "HawkingAudio" for Audio. This will assign a name to the device whose audio port you are opening.
    In the Private IP field, enter your camera's Local IP Address.

    In the Protocol Type field, select TCP.
    Enter port 5001 in the Private Port field. If port 5001 is unavailable, enter another port number (for example: port 5002).
    Then enter the same port number in the Public Port field. (It is highly recommended that you enter the same port number in the Public Port field as you entered in the Private Port field.)
    In the Schedule section, select the Always radio button.
    Click Apply at the bottom of the page to save your changes.

     
     

    5. Congratulations! Your Hawking camera's port assignments should now appear in the Virtual Servers list. Complete the Setup Wizard and enjoy Internet viewing of your IP camera.
