How to Access Your Device(s) Remotely Over the Internet

    1. Open Your Web Browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, or Firefox etc…)

    2. Type in your Router's IP Address in your browser's web address bar. (i.e. http://192.168.0.1).  If you do not know your Router's IP Address follow these instructions below to find it:

    a. Click START (Windows Only)
    b. Click RUN
    c. Type in: “cmd” in the open field and click OK
    d. When the new window appears (black window) type “ipconfig” and press ENTER
    e. A list of numbers should appear in the window.  The numbers that appear after Default Gateway will be the IP Address of your Router. 
    f. Copy that number and type it in your web browser. (remember to use “http://” in front of the numbers)

    Press Enter.
     
     

     
    3. A login dialog box should open, as shown below.

    Enter the Username and Password you have set for your router in the dialog box. By default, the Username is "admin", and the Password field is left blank. Click OK to open your router's administration page.

     
     

     
    4. Your router's administration page should open, as shown below.

    Click the Advanced link located at the bottom of the page.
     
     

     
    5. Now, there should be a new set of links at the bottom of the page.

    Click on the Virtual Server link to open the Virtual Server page, which is shown below. Identify the first available row on the screen.

     
     

    STEP 5a: OPEN A WEB PORT
    In the first available Service Port field, enter port 80 . If port 80 is unavailable, enter another port number (for example: port 85).
    In the Server IP field, enter your camera's Server IP Address.

    Check the Enable box.

    STEP 5b: OPEN A VIDEO PORT
    In the second available Service Port field, enter port 5000 . If port 5000 is unavailable, enter another port number (for example: port 5001).
    In the Server IP field, enter your camera's Server IP Address.

    Check the Enable box.

    STEP 5c (OPTIONAL): OPEN AN AUDIO PORT
    (not necessary for HNC290G)

    In the third available Service Port field, enter port 5002 . If port 5002 is unavailable, enter another port number (for example: port 5003).
    In the Server IP field, enter your camera's Server IP Address.

    Check the Enable box.

     

     

    6. On the bottom of the screen, click Save button. Then you will be prompt to click on the Reboot button. This will apply changes to your router.

    Congratulations! Your Hawking's port assignments should now appear in the Virtual Servers list. Now please return to the HawkingTech Setup Wizard.
