How to Port Forward your Hawking Product



    Microsoft MN-700 Version 1
     

    1. Open Your Web Browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, or Firefox etc...)

    2. Type in your Router's IP Address in your browser's web address bar. The default IP address of the Microsoft router is http://192.168.2.1

    If you have changed your Router's IP address and cannot locate it try these steps:

    a. Click START (Windows Only)
    b. Click RUN
    c. Type in: “cmd” in the open field and click OK
    d. When the new window appears (black window) type “ipconfig” and press ENTER
    e. A list of numbers should appear in the window. The numbers that appear after Default Gateway will be the IP Address of your Router.
    f. Copy that number and type it in your web browser. (remember to use “http://” in front of the numbers)

    Press Enter.

     

     
     

     

    3. A Login page should open as shown below.
    Enter your Password and click Log On to enter the menu page.

    The default Password of the MN-100 is admin

     

     
     

     
    4. The configuration menu of your router should look like the image below.
    Click the Security button on the left menu bar:
     
     

     
    5.After entering the Security page click on the Port Forwarding link in the blue section.
     
     

     
    6. The Port Forwarding page has two selections. Triggered Port Forwarding and Persistent Port Forwarding.
    Select Persistant Port Forwarding to continue.
     
     

     
    7. The Persistant Port Forwarding page is shown below. You will need to follow the steps below to open your ports for internet viewing.
     
     
     

    STEP 7a: OPEN A WEB PORT
    Fill out the fields as following:

    Fill in the empty fields with the following information (see picture for details):
    Description: HawkingCam
    Inbound Port: 80 - 80
    Type: TCP
    Private IP Address: For this field you will need to enter the last digits of your Network Camera's IP Address. Click the link below if you do not know what this is.

    Private Port: 80 - 80
    Click Add to apply your changes.
    After you have added the setting make sure the HawkingCam entry is enabled in the box below.


    STEP 7b: OPEN A VIDEO PORT

    Fill out the fields as following:

    Fill in the empty fields with the following information (see picture for details):
    Description: HawkingVideo
    Inbound Port: 5000 - 5000
    Type: TCP
    Private IP Address: For this field you will need to enter the last digits of your Network Camera's IP Address. Click the link below if you do not know what this is.
    (How to Find your Local IP Address)
    Private Port: 5000 - 5000
    Click Add to apply your changes.
    After you have added the setting make sure the HawkingVideo entry is enabled in the box below.
    (You may skip the next step if you are setting up the Hawking HNC290G camera)
    Be sure to click Apply or Save to ensure your settings have been saved.


    STEP 7c (OPTIONAL): OPEN AN AUDIO PORT

    (not necessary for HNC290G)

    Fill in the empty fields with the following information (see picture for details):
    Description: HawkingAudio
    Inbound Port: 5001 - 5001
    Type: TCP
    Private IP Address: For this field you will need to enter the last digits of your Network Camera's IP Address. Click the link below if you do not know what this is.

    Private Port: 5001 - 5001
    Click Add to apply your changes.
    After you have added the setting make sure the HawkingVideo entry is enabled in the box below.
    Be sure to click Apply or Save to ensure your settings have been saved.

     

    8. Congratulations! Your Hawking's port assignments should now appear in the Port Forwarding list. Now please return to the HawkingTech Setup Wizard.
