The HWU54DMA connects your Apple computer to a Wireless-B or Wireless-G network.  Hawking’s Hi-Gain™ Antenna technology extends wireless connection distances by up to 300% compared to embedded Apple® Airport wireless cards. The HWU54DMA is equipped with a unique adjustable swivel-and-rotate 5dBi Hi-Gain directional antenna to concentrate your wireless signal directly towards the source or your wireless network, avoiding the interference obtained from your Mac’s internal components. This results in faster connection speeds and a significant increase in wireless distance when compared to similar wireless devices on the market.   The fold down antenna design makes the HWU54DMA easy to travel with.  Included with the package is a USB Base Stand for easy desktop use. 

When paired with the Hawking Hi-Gain Wireless-108G MIMO Router with AMP Technology, the HWU54DMA Hi-Gain USB Adapter is capable of delivering speeds of up to 108Mbps.  When used with standard 802.11g networks (such as the Airport Extreme) the USB Adapter will perform at 54Mbps.  The HWU54DMA is also fully backwards compatible with all 802.11b networks.
